Testimonials
Former Student's Thoughts
I met Dr Julie McFarlane when doing my Master course at Strategic Project Management, where she was the program director and a coach on business projects development. I must say that apart from a whole toolbox of knowledge and skills that Julie was sharing with a great professionalism, it was a huge pleasure to deal with her as a person. She is a very engaging person with great charisma which is why her ways of coaching are never boring. She always sticks to the point giving valuable information and all support needed during the course.
Programme Director
The ECA was meticulously crafted to address a critical trust issue within the coaching sector. In an industry inundated with misinformation and unregulated coaching providers, the ECA stands as a beacon of trustworthiness, offering a secure and reliable environment for studying business coaching the SMART way.
Dr McFarlane, an accomplished academic in entrepreneurship and a triple accredited (ICF, EMCC, IAPC&M) Coach, has dedicated over 18 years to developing higher education programs for students worldwide. Throughout this journey, she recognised the demand for a more pragmatic approach to coaching business executives, one that seamlessly incorporates the insights of leading academics.

The Accreditations
Getting Certified
Getting Certified
The ECA offers three distinct pathways to accreditation, each tailored to meet your specific coaching aspirations:
Associate Coaching Certification (80 Hours): Ideal for those starting their coaching journey, this program includes independent study hours, group coaching, peer sessions, mentor coaching with written feedback, and practical performance assessments.
Professional Coaching Certification (80 Hours): Designed for those seeking advanced coaching expertise, this program encompasses the same elements as the Associate Coaching Certification, offering a comprehensive coaching education.
Executive Coaching Certification (160 Hours): Combining both the Associate and Professional Coaching Certifications, this program provides an extensive coaching experience. It includes all the features of the other routes, allowing you to attain a broader skill set.
All pathways feature a combination of independent study, group coaching, peer collaboration, mentor coaching, and practical assessments. Students’ skill development is thoroughly assessed through a mix of virtual classroom-based work and the creation of a final portfolio.
Upon program completion, students achieve recognition as Level 7 – Professional Certified Coaches and fulfil the necessary training hours for a coaching credential through the International Association of Coaching & Mentoring (IAPC&M) and the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC).
